LEILA FIGUEIREDO DE MIRANDA

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Mackenzie Presbiterian University-UPM (1976), a Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry from Mackenzie Presbiterian University-UPM (1984), a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo -USP(1994) and a PhD in Nuclear Technology from the Nuclear and Energy Research Institute -IPEN / University of São Paulo -USP(1999). Since 1985, she has been a professor at Mackenzie Presbyterian University, coordinating the Materials Engineering Course of the same University from 1992 to 2011. She coordinated the Professional Master's Program in Materials Engineering from UPM from 2006 to 2007, having participated as coordinator of the Recognition process / Program recommendation by CAPES. She was Director of the Engineering School of Mackenzie Presbiterian University-UPM from 2011 to 2017. She is currently Coordinator of Institutional Academic Evaluation (CAAI) and Coordinator of the Own Evaluation Commission- CPA of the Mackenzie Presbiterian University, Professor of Materials Engineering Course and Postgraduate Program in Materials Engineering and Nanotechnology of UPM. He has experience in the field of Materials Engineering and Metallurgy, with emphasis on Polymers, working mainly on the following topics: synthesis and development of polymers by ionizing radiation (obtaining of hydrogels), obtaining of polymeric composites, characterization of polymeric materials and recycling of materials.

possui graduação em Engenharia Química pela Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (1976), Bacharelado e Licenciatura em Química pela Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie (1984), mestrado em Engenharia Química pela Escola Politécnica da USP (1994) e doutorado em Tecnologia Nuclear pelo Instituto de Pesquisas Energéticas e Nucleares-IPEN/Universidade de São Paulo-USP (1999). Desde 1985 é professora da Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, tendo coordenado o Curso de Engenharia de Materiais da mesma Universidade de 1992 a 2011. Coordenou o Programa de Mestrado Profissional em Engenharia de Materiais da UPM de 2006 a 2007, tendo participado como coordenadora do processo de Reconhecimento/Recomendação do Programa pela CAPES. Foi Diretora da Escola de Engenharia da Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie de 2011 a 2017. Foi Coordenadora de Avaliação Acadêmica Institucional ?CAAI e Coordenadora da Comissão Própria de Avaliação ?CPA da Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie de 2017-2020. Atualmente é Professora Titular da Escola de Engenharia, docente do Curso de Engenharia de Materiais e do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia de Materiais e Nanotecnologia da UPM. É Avaliadora Institucional e de Curso do MEC/INEP (Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Anísio Teixeira). Tem experiência na área de Engenharia de Materiais e Metalúrgica, com ênfase em Polímeros, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: síntese e desenvolvimento de polímeros via radiação ionizante (obtenção de hidrogéis), obtenção de compósitos poliméricos, caracterização de materiais poliméricos e reciclagem de materiais.
