Jairo Marçal

Doutorado em Filosofia pela PUCPR (2018), com estágio de pesquisa (bolsa sanduíche Capes) na University College London - UCL; Mestrado em Filosofia pela UFPR (2005); Especialização em Antropologia Filosófica - Teoria Crítica pela UFPR (1990); Bacharelado e Licenciatura em Filosofia pela UFPR (1988). Foi organizador da Antologia de Textos Filosóficos, publicada pela SEED/PR . Atua nas áreas da Filosofia Política, Ética, Ciência Política e Filosofia do Direito, com especial interesse nos temas da liberdade, republicanismo, comunitarismo, liberalismo, teorias da democracia e teorias da justiça.

Graduated in Philosophy (1988), with Specialization in Philosophical Anthropology - Critical Theory (1990) and has a Master Degree in Philosophy (2005) from the Federal University of Paraná. At present, attends the Doctoral Program in Philosophy at the Pontifícia Catholic University of Paraná - PUCPR. Professor of Philosophy and Political Theory at the Integrated Colleges of Brazil - UniBrasil. He is also a professor at the State Department of Education of Paraná. At the Department of Basic Education SEED-PR, participated in the development of the Curriculum Guidelines of Philosophy and several editorial projects, with emphasis on the organization of the Anthology of Philosophical Texts. Currently, works in the areas of Ethics and Political Philosophy, with special interest in the following topics: republicanism, liberalism, democracy, citizenship, freedom and State.
