Gian Luigi De Rosa

Gian Luigi De Rosa, PhD, is Associate Professor of Lingua e Traduzione - Lingue Portoghese e Brasiliana at the University Roma Tre. President of the V edition of SIMELP - SIMPÓSIO MUNDIAL DE ESTUDOS DE LÍNGUA PORTUGUESA (Lecce in 2015, http://www.simelp.it/). He founded and was Director of the Chair I. Camões-Unisalento "Manoel de Oliveira" from September 2015 to September 2019. Since 2020, he is Director of the Portuguese Language Centre CLP-Camões "Giulia Lanciani" at Roma Tre University. Visiting Professor at the Universities UFG, UFF and USP, he is the author of several essays dedicated to language, Portuguese and Brazilian linguistics and audiovisual and intersemiotic translation and is a literary and audiovisual translator. He has experience in the field of Linguistics, with emphasis on Sociolinguistics and Dialectology. Since 2003 he has been a member of Associazione Ispanisti Italiani (AISPI); since 2008 a member of Associação Portuguesa de Linguística (APL); since 2010 a member of Associação Internacional de Lusitanistas (AIL); since 2011 he has been a founding member and member of the Associazione Italiana Studi Portoghesi e Brasiliani (AISPEB); since 2014 he has been the President of the Associazione di Studi di Lingua Portoghese (ASLP); since 2018 he has been a member of the Association of Brasilianists in Europe (ABRE); since 2021 he has been a member of ABRALIN. He has experience in Linguistics, with an emphasis on Sociolinguistics and Dialectology, working mainly on the following topics: null subject, filmic speech, Brazilian Portuguese and neo-standardization of BP.

Desde 2020, atualmente é diretor do Centro de Língua Portuguesa CLP-Camões ?Giulia Lanciani? e da Summer School of Audiovisual Translation na Universidade Roma Tre. Professor visitante nas Universidades UFG, UFF e USP, é autor de vários ensaios dedicados à língua, à linguística portuguesa e brasileira e à traduçao audiovisual e intersemiótica e é tradutor literário e audiovisual. Tem experiência na área de Linguística, com ênfase em Sociolinguística e Dialetologia.
