Plinio Thomaz Aquino Junior

Graduado em Ciência da Computação pela Universidade Federal de São Carlos (UFSCar) em 1998. Mestre em Ciência da Computação pela UFSCar, na área de Engenharia de Software, em 2001. Mestrado desenvolvido com cooperação Germany-Brazil no German National Research Center for Information Technology em Sankt Augustin, Alemanha. Doutorado em Engenharia Elétrica na área de Sistemas Digitais pela Escola Politécnica da Universidade de São Paulo (EP-USP) em 2008. Tese desenvolvida no Laboratório de Tecnologia e Software no Departamento de Engenharia da Computação e Sistemas Digitais (PCS) da Escola Politécnica da USP, aplicada em Projeto de Pesquisa do Governo do Estado de São Paulo (e-Poupatempo). Colaborou como orientador no Programa de Mestrado Profissional em Engenharia da Computação no Instituto de Pesquisas Tecnológicas (IPT) de 2011 a 2019. Ingressou no Centro Universitário FEI - Fundação Educacional Inaciana Padre Sabóia de Medeiros em 2003. Dedica-se como Professor Tempo Integral e Coordenador do Departamento de Ciência da Computação da FEI, além de atuar como orientador de Mestrado e Doutorado no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Elétrica da FEI, no Grupo de Inteligência Artificial Aplicada à Automação e Robótica (IAAAR). Responsável pelo Projeto Competições Robóticas RoboCup@Home, da Equipe RoboFEI. Atua principalmente nas seguintes áreas: Interação Humano-Máquina, Fatores Humanos, Interação Humano-Robô, Internet das Coisas, Engenharia de Software, Sistemas Inteligentes, Interfaces Adaptativas e Robótica Autônoma Inteligente.

Graduated in Computer Science from the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar) in 1998. Master in Computer Science from UFSCar, in Software Engineering, completed in 2001. Master's degree developed with Germany-Brazil cooperation at the German National Research Center for Information Technology in Sankt Augustin, Germany. PhD in Electrical Engineering in the area of Digital Systems from the Polytechnic School of the University of São Paulo (USP-EP) in 2008.The thesis developed in the Technology and Software Laboratory at PCS - Polytechnic School - USP, applied in the Research Project of the São Paulo Government (e-Poupatempo). Joined at Centro Universitário FEI - Fundação Educacional Inaciana Padre Sabóia de Medeiros in 2003. Dedicates as a Full-Time Professor and Coordinator of the Computer Science Department at FEI, in addition to acting as a Master and Doctoral advisor in the Electrical Engineering Program at FEI, in the Artificial Intelligence Group Applied to Automation and Robotics (IAAAR). Responsible for the RoboCup @ Home Robotic Competitions Project, of the RoboFEI Team. Collaborator as advisor in the Professional Master's Program in Computer Engineering at the Institute for Technological Research (IPT). Mainly interested in the following areas: Human-Machine Interaction, Human Factors, Human-Robot Interaction, Internet of Things, Software Engineering, Intelligent Systems, Adaptive Interfaces and Intelligent Autonomous Robotics.
