Carlos Eduardo Ferreira Monteiro

Post-Doctorate at Vrije Universiteit Brussel - VUB, Belgium (2019-2020) and at the Institute of Education of the University of Lisbon - Portugal (2014-2015) with scholarship from Capes; PhD in Education from the University of Warwick - England (2005) and Master in Cognitive Psychology from the Federal University of Pernambuco - UFPE (1998) with scholarship from CNPq; Bachelor in Psychology from UFPE (1990). Visiting Researcher at the Free University of Brussels - Belgium (2012) and at the University of Leicester - England (2007). Full Professor of the Department of Psychology, Inclusion and Education (Dpsie) of the Education Center (CE) of UFPE, teaches in Undergraduate Courses, is a permanent teacher and advisor in Master's and Doctoral Courses in the Graduate Program in Mathematics and Technology Education - Edumatec - UFPE. Coordinator of Working Group 12 (GT12) in Statistical Education of the Brazilian Society of Mathematics Education (Sbem). He has experience in the field of Educational Psychology, especially in the interfaces with teacher education and teaching and learning processes. She is currently the leader of GPEMCE - Research Group on Mathematics Education in the Contexts of Field Education and GPEME - Research Group on Mathematics and Statistics Education. Her main research topics are related to the following: Teaching and Learning of Mathematics; Mathematics Education in Rural Education Contexts; Sociocultural factors related to the development and use of mathematical knowledge; Teaching and Learning of Statistics; Statistical Literacy; Aspects of Mathematics and Statistics teaching and learning in Youth and Adult Education.

Coordenador do Grupo de Trabalho 12 (GT12) em Educação Estatística da Sociedade Brasileira de Educação Matemática (Sbem). Tem experiência na Área de Psicologia na Educação, sobretudo nas interfaces com a formação de professores e os processos de ensino e aprendizagem. Atualmente é líder do GPEMCE - Grupo de Pesquisa em Educação Matemática nos Contextos de Educação do Campo e do GPEME - Grupo de Pesquisa em Educação Matemática e Estatística. As principais temáticas de pesquisas e orientação vinculam-se principalmente aos seguintes tópicos: Psicologia do Ensino e Aprendizagem; Educação Matemática e Estatística em diversos contextos socioculturais, com interfaces com a Educação do Campo e Educação Escolar Quilombola e Indígena; Letramento Estatístico.
