Eduardo Morgado Belo
He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (1979), a master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of São Paulo (1982) and a PhD in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Southampton (1987). He is currently a reviewer of journals such as: Mathematical Problems in Engineering, Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part G: Journal of Aerospace Engineering, Journal of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering, Journal of Aerospace Technology and Management, and others. He is a senior professor of Aeronautical Engineering at the São Carlos Engineering School of the University of São Paulo. He is a senior member of AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics), ABCM (Brazilian Association of Engineering and Mechanical Sciences), of the ICAS Program Committee (International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences - www.icas.org) and was the Chairman of the ICAS2018 (31st Congress of the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences) held in Belo Horizonte in September 2018. Has experience in Aerospace Engineering, with an emphasis on Stability and Control, acting mainly on the following themes: aeroelasticity, flutter, flight dynamics , non-linear identification and movement control, development of Autonomous Flight Systems and Flight Simulators.
Possui graduação em Engenharia Mecânica pela Universidade de São Paulo (1979), mestrado em Engenharia Mecânica pela Universidade de São Paulo (1982) e é PhD em Engenharia Aeronáutica pela University of Southampton (1987). Atualmente é revisor de journals tais como: Mathematical Problems in Engineering, Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part G: Journal of Aerospace Engineering, Journal of the Brazilian Society of Mechanical Sciences and Engineering, Journal of Aerospace Technology and Management, e outros. É professor titular sênior de Engenharia Aeronáutica da Escola de Engenharia de São Carlos da Universidade de São Paulo. É membro sênior da AIAA (American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics), ABCM (Associação Brasileira de Engenharia e Ciências Mecânicas), do Comitê de Programas do ICAS (International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences - www.icas.org) e foi o Chairman do ICAS2018 (31st Congress of the International Council of the Aeronautical Sciences) realizado em Belo Horizonte em setembro de 2018. Tem experiência na área de Engenharia Aeroespacial, com ênfase em Estabilidade e Controle, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: aeroelasticidade, flutter, dinâmica de voo, identificação não linear e controle de movimento, desenvolvimento de Sistemas Autônomos de Voo e Simuladores de Voo.
