has MSc(2004) and BSc(2002) degrees in Computer Science. He obtained the PhD in 2008 by the Institute of Mathematical and Computing Sciences at The University of Sao Paulo (ICMC-USP), Brazil, which was partially developed at the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of Imperial College London. His interest areas are hardware architecture, embedded mobile robotics, and modeling and synthesis tools. He has also several years of industrial experience in automation systems. He is a faculty member of the ICMC-USP since 2009.
