Rodrigo Favreto

Agronomist (2001), Master in Ecology (2004), PhD in Sciences/Botany (2010) and Post-doctor in Phytotechnics (2020) by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul - UFRGS. Researcher at the State Agricultural Research Foundation - FEPAGRO (2002-2017) and director of the Litoral Norte Research Center (2010-2017). Since 2017 he is a researcher at the Department of Diagnosis and Agricultural Research - DDPA, of the State Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Sustainable Production and Irrigation - SEAPI, and was head of the Litoral Norte Research Center (Maquiné/RS) until 2022. It conducts research and other actions mainly in the areas of phytotechnics and ecology, in the evaluation and development of sustainable productive alternatives for family farming and rural populations in the Atlantic Forest and Pampa Biomes.

Desde 2017 é pesquisador do Departamento de Diagnóstico e Pesquisa Agropecuária - DDPA, da Secretaria Estadual da Agricultura, Pecuária, Produção Sustentável e Irrigação - SEAPI, e foi chefe do Centro de Pesquisa do Litoral Norte (Maquiné/RS) até 2022. Realiza pesquisas e outras ações principalmente nas áreas de fitotecnia e ecologia, na avaliação e no desenvolvimento de alternativas produtivas sustentáveis para a agricultura familiar e populações rurais nos Biomas Mata Atlântica e Pampa.
