Marco Antonio da Silva Ramos

Professor Titular Sênior em Regência Coral no Depto. de Música da ECA-USP. Possui graduação em Música (Composição) pela Universidade de São Paulo (1979); mestrado em Artes pela Escola de Comunicações e Artes (1989) com a dissertação "Canto Coral: do repertório temático à construção do programa"; doutorado em Artes pela ECA-USP (1996) com a tese "Missa Guaimi: Três discursos sobre composição musical"; Livre-docência junto à ECA-USP com a tese "O ensino da regência coral" (2003) , Prof. Titular em Regência Coral (2011). Tem experiência na área de Artes, com ênfase em Regência Coral, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: regência coral, canto, análise musical para performance, composição, música brasileira e o Uso musical do silêncio. Na pós-graduação seu foco é a análise para performance e o uso musical do silêncio, e o conforto acústico do coralista tendo orientado também em ensino do canto coral e da regência coral e musicologia (repertório coral brasileiro). Tem atuado como professor convidado em cursos e workshops no Brasil e exterior (Hungria, EUA, Portugal, Espanha, Colômbia, Argentina). Durante os anos de 2013 a 2016 pesquisou e publicou em associação com a Universidade de Cambridge, Reino Unido, junto a Prof. Dr. John Rink, Dr. Geoffrey Webber e Profa. Dra. Susana Cecília Igayara-Souza, com patrocínio da British Academy for the Arts and Humanities, Reino Unido. Como regente coral apresentou-se em diversos Estados brasileiros e também internacionalmente (Argentina, Colômbia, Hungria, Portugal, Espanha, Áustria, EUA). Fundou e dirigiu os coros: Coral do Museu Lasar Segall, Studio Coral-vozes femininas, Madrigal do Depto de Música da ECA-USP e Coro de Câmara Comunicantus, à frente do qual permanece como regente e diretor musical. Trabalhou na juventude com coros escolares: do Jardim São Luís, do Colégio Rainha da Paz e do Colégio Nossa Senhora das Graças. Foi regente titular do Coral da ECA-USP de 1981 a 2019 e coordenou o Comunicantus: Laboratório Coral do Departamento de Música da ECA/USP, que agrega 6 diferentes corais-laboratório, de 2001 a 2019. Foi Diretor do CORALUSP- Coral da Universidade de São Paulo entre 2018 e 2019. Hoje está aposentado da USP mas continua como colaborador dentro do Programa Sênior, orientando e ensinando no nas linhas de Performance em Regência coral e Práticas Interpretativas da Pós-Graduação em Música da ECA/USP, e também regendo e trabalhando com optativas na graduação.

Graduated in Music (Composition) from the University of São Paulo (1979); master's degree in Arts from the School of Communications and Arts (1989) with the dissertation "Canto Coral: from thematic repertoire to the construction of the program"; PhD in Arts from ECA-USP (1996) with the thesis "Missa Guaimi: Three speeches on musical composition"; Professor at ECA-USP with the thesis "The teaching of choral conducting" (2003), Prof. Holder in Choral Regency (2011). Has experience in the area of ​​Arts, with emphasis on Choral Conducting, acting mainly on the following themes: choral conducting, singing, musical analysis for performance, composition, Brazilian music and the Musical use of silence. In postgraduate studies, her focus is on performance analysis and the musical use of silence, and the acoustic comfort of the choralist, having also taught choral singing and choral conducting and musicology (Brazilian choral repertoire). He has served as a guest professor in courses and workshops in Brazil and abroad (Hungary, USA, Portugal, Spain, Colombia, Argentina). During the years 2013 to 2016, he researched and published in association with the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, with Prof. Dr. John Rink, Dr. Geoffrey Webber and Profa. Dr. Susana Cecília Igayara-Souza, sponsored by the British Academy for the Arts and Humanities, United Kingdom. As a choir conductor, he performed in several Brazilian states and also internationally (Argentina, Colombia, Hungary, Portugal, Spain, Austria, USA). He founded and directed the choirs: Choir of the Lasar Segall Museum, Studio Choir-female voices, Madrigal of the Music Department of ECA-USP and Chamber Choir Comunicantus, ahead of which he remains as conductor and musical director. He worked in youth with school choirs: from Jardim São Luís, from Colégio Rainha da Paz and from Colégio Nossa Senhora das Graças. He was head conductor of the Choir of ECA-USP from 1981 to 2019 and coordinated Comunicantus: Choir Laboratory of the Music Department of ECA / USP, which brings together 6 different laboratory choirs, from 2001 to 2019. He was Director of CORALUSP-Choir of the University from São Paulo between 2018 and 2019. Today he is retired from USP but continues to be a collaborator within the Senior Program, guiding and teaching in the lines of Performance in Choral Conducting and Interpretative Practices of the Graduate Program in Music at ECA / USP, and also conducting and working with electives in graduation.
