Otavio Cavalett is Adjunct Associate Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). His main research interests are linked to bioenergy systems modelling and sustainability analysis, especially focused on environmental interaction between energy demand, land management and impacts on climate and other environmental areas of concern in relation to the United Nations Sustainability Development Goals. In this domain, special emphasis is given to life cycle assessment methods to capture the interconnections between supply chains and the environment, aiming to a better understanding of the complexities of the energy, land, and climate systems interactions. He is Contributing Author for the IPCC Sixth Assessment Report, the IPCC Special Report on Land and Climate Change, and also participated in the Global Warming Task Force of the UNEP-SETAC Life-Cycle Initiative.
