Samira Spolidorio

Doutoranda em Linguística Aplicada pela Universidade Estadual de Campinas (UNICAMP) na área de Linguagem e Educação, interessada em questões do ensino de teoria e prática de tradução em cursos de graduação no Brasil. Mestre em Linguística Aplicada pela UNICAMP, na área de Linguagem e Sociedade, com dissertação voltada para a tradução audiovisual (em particular, legendagem) como mediação entre culturas. Graduada em Letras - Licenciatura em Português (2007), com pós-graduação lato sensu em Língua Portuguesa (2009) e em Língua Inglesa e Tradução (2015) pela Universidade Metodista de Piracicaba (UNIMEP). Foi professora de diversas disciplinas de educação e tradução nos cursos de Letras Inglês ? Licenciatura e Letras Inglês ? Tradução e Interpretação da UNIMEP entre 2015 e 2018 e de disciplinas de Língua Inglesa e de Projeto Interdisciplinar no curso de Letras - Português/Inglês do Centro Universitário de Belo Horizonte (UNIBH) entre 2018 e 2019. Aluna de doutorado com bolsa sanduíche no departamento de Tradução e Paratradução da Universidade de Vigo, na Espanha, pelo projeto PRINT-CAPES entre setembro de 2019 e março de 2020, em regime de cotutela. Atua como tradutora e revisora autônoma, trabalhando com inglês, português e espanhol.

PhD student in Applied Linguistics at State University of Campinas (UNICAMP), in the field of Language and Education, interested in issues regarding how translation theory and practice are taught in undergraduate degrees in Brazil. Masters degree in Applied Linguistics at UNICAMP, in the field of Language and Society, with thesis addressing audiovisual translation (mainly, subtitling), the translator's role as a mediator between cultures. Undergraduate degree in Language - Portuguese (minor in Teaching) from Methodist University of Piracicaba (2007), with Graduate Studies level specialization in Portuguese (2009) and English and Translation (2015). University Lecturer for courses related to education and translation for students pursuing an undergraduate degree in English - Minor in Teaching and English - Minor inTranslation and Interpretation at Methodist University of Piracicaba (UNIMEP) from 2015 till 2018 and courses related to English language for students pursuing an undergraduate degree in Languages - Portuguese/English at University Center of Belo Horizonte (UNIBH) from 2018 to 2019. Currently, visiting PhD student at Translation and Paratranslation department of University of Vigo, in Spain, through PRINT-CAPES project, with dual degree agreement. Currently working as a freelance translator and proofreader with English, Portuguese and Spanish
