Luis Carlos Barroso de Sousa Girão

Doutor em Literatura e Crítica Literária pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, financiado pela FAPESP (2018-2021). Mestre em Literatura e Crítica Literária pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo, financiado pela CAPES (2015-2017). Especialista em Design Gráfico pela Faculdade 7 de Setembro (2013). Graduado em Design de Moda pela Faculdade Católica do Ceará (2008). Membro do Grupo de Pesquisa 'Hallyu - Estudos Coreanos' (CNPq/USP), além de membro associado da International Research Society for Children's Literature (IRSCL), da Korean Literature Association (KLA), da Korea Association of Literature for Children and Young Adults (KALCYA) e da World Association for Hallyu Studies (WAHS). Tem interesse nas temáticas: Crítica Literária, Estudos Coreanos, Literatura Infantil, Literatura Coreana, Literatura e Intermídia (Neo-Materialismo) e Tradução Literária. Atualmente, realiza estágio pós-doutoral em Estudos Coreanos, sob a supervisão de Yun Jung Im Park, e atua como professor visitante do curso de Língua e Literatura Coreana pelo Departamento de Letras Orientais da Universidade de São Paulo.
Luis Carlos Girão is a Ph.D. in Literature and Literary Criticism at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, funded by the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) from 2018 till 2021. He holds a Master's degree in Literature and Literary Criticism by the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, funded by Coordinating Agency for Advanced Training of Graduate Personnel (CAPES) from 2015 till 2017. He's also a specialist in Graphic Design by the 7 de Setembro College (2013) and majored in Fashion Design at the Catholic College of Ceará (2008). Since 2017, he's a member at the research group 'Hallyu - Korean Studies', verified by the CNPq Research Group Directory, being an associated member at the International Research Society for Children's Literature (IRSCL) and the Korean Literature Association (KLA) since 2021, as well as an associated member at the Korea Association of Literature for Children and Young Adults (KALCYA) and the World Association for Hallyu Studies (WAHS) since 2023. His study interests and research surrounds the themes of Literary Criticism, Korean Studies, Children's Literature, Korean Literature, New Materialisms, and Literary Translation. He is currently a postdoctoral fellow, under Professor Yun Jung Im Park's supervision, and a visiting professor of the Korean Language and Literature BA within the Department of Oriental Letters at the University of São Paulo (USP).
