Adriana Parente La Selva

Adriana La Selva is a theatre-maker, a performer, a networker and a researcher. She is currently a fellow FWO researcher, working on a Ph.D. at S:PAM (Studies in Performance and Media- Ghent University) - in association with IPEM (Institute for Psychoacoustics and Electronic Music), Utrecht University, Manchester Metropolitan University and Aalborg University. Her research investigates what it means to practice an archive, by addressing the transmission of embodied practices through virtual media and dramaturgical approaches to archival practices. In 2009, she concluded her Master?s degree in Contemporary Arts, practice-based, at the University of Lancaster, UK, on Deleuze and Guattari?s notion of becoming in relation to physical theatre. She is since 2015 member of the international theatre group The Bridge of Winds, led by Odin Teatret actress Iben Nagel Rasmussen. Adriana co-founded Cross Pollination together with Marije Nie, an international network of performers and researchers, which focuses on the dialogue in-between practices, new ways of knowledge building and understanding collaboration. She created theater m u s t, a company based in Antwerp focused on theatre for young audiences, and is the artistic director of comm?on vzw, an organization focusing on artistic exchange and applied theatre, based in Ghent. She is interested in artistic projects that support sustainable research and social thinking, all kinds of urban processions and parades, performances for young audiences, and yes, training.

Adriana La Selva é dramaturga, performer, networker e pesquisadora. Ela é atualmente pesquisadora da FWO, trabalhando em um Ph.D. no S:PAM (Studies in Performance and Media - Ghent University) - em associação com o IPEM (Institute for Psychoacoustics and Electronic Music), Utrecht University, Manchester Metropolitan University e Aalborg University. Sua pesquisa investiga o que significa praticar um arquivo, abordando a transmissão de práticas corporificadas por meio de mídias virtuais e abordagens dramatúrgicas de práticas arquivísticas. Em 2009, concluiu o mestrado em Artes Contemporâneas, baseado na prática, na Universidade de Lancaster, Reino Unido, sobre a noção de devir de Deleuze e Guattari em relação ao teatro físico. É desde 2015 membro do grupo internacional de teatro The Bridge of Winds, liderado pela atriz do Odin Teatret Iben Nagel Rasmussen. Adriana cofundou a Cross Polination juntamente com Marije Nie, uma rede internacional de performers e pesquisadores, que se concentra no diálogo entre práticas, novas formas de construção de conhecimento e processos de colaboração. Criou o theatre m u s t, uma companhia sediada em Antuérpia focada no teatro para o público jovem, e é diretora artística da comm?on vzw, uma organização focada no intercâmbio artístico e no teatro aplicado, com sede em Ghent. Ela está interessada em projetos artísticos que apoiam a pesquisa sustentável e o pensamento social, todos os tipos de procissões e desfiles urbanos, performances para o público jovem e sim, treinamento.
