Post-Doctorate in Mathematics Education at the University of São Paulo (USP); PhD in Mathematics Education from Universidade Estadual Paulista (Unesp), having completed part of his PhD at Rutgers University, New Jersey, United States (USA). Degree in Mathematics, Specialization in Mathematics Education and Master in Mathematics Education from the Institute of Mathematics and Statistics of the Federal University of Goiás (IME/UFG). Selected by the International Fellowship Program Creative Learning Fellows of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Boston, United States (USA). Only Brazilian finalist for the Nobel Prize in Education (2021), organized by the Global Teacher Prize and Varkey Foundation, among thousands of submissions from 121 countries. At the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Goiás, he is a permanent professor D-III (Adjunct II), of the permanent staff for the area of Mathematics and Computational Mathematics. Accredited teacher and advisor in the Postgraduate Master's Program in Teaching for Basic Education (PPGEnEB, IF-Goiano). He is currently head of the Postgraduate, Research and Innovation (PROPPI) nucleus at IF-Goiano, Ipameri Advanced Campus. He coordinates teaching, research and extension projects (e.g., Mattics). Author of collections of Mathematics didactic and paradidactic books, such as: (i) Hora do Pensar by the publisher Trilhas das Letras and (ii) Mathematics Telecurso by the Roberto Marinho Foundation. He has published in scientific journals (periodicals), book chapters and academic books. He is a member of the advisory and editorial boards of specialized journals in the areas in which he operates. He received awards (national and international) for his work, among which the following stand out: 1. Innovative Researcher of the state of Goiás (FAPEG); 2. Intellectual Property in Schools of the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI), in two main categories: Technology and Educator of the Year (General Prize of the competition); 3. Educator Note 10 by Fundação Victor Civita and Rede Globo de Televisão; 4. Creative Learning from MIT; 5. Paulo Freire Trophy; and 6. Creative School Honorable Mention. He is a member of the Research Group Dialogues and Indagations on Schools and Mathematics Education and of the Brazilian Society of Mathematics Education (SBEM). Interested in research topics in the areas of: Mathematics; Mathematics Education; Computational Mathematics; Computational Thinking; Scientific-technological inventions; Formation of Teachers who teach Mathematics; Robotics; and Treatment of Parkinson's.

Minhas realizações também englobam o renomado Prêmio Educador Nota 10, conferido pela Fundação Victor Civita e Rede Globo de Televisão, além do reconhecimento Creative Learning do MIT, a distinção do Troféu Paulo Freire e uma Menção Honrosa no concurso nacional da Criativos da Escola (Design For Change). Participo da Sociedade Brasileira de Educação Matemática (SBEM).
