Docente contratada na Universidade Federal de Santa Maria (MEN/UFSM) em 2003, entre 2006 e 2008 e, entre 2015 e 2017. Professora Pesquisadora I do Curso de Sociologia (UAB/UFSM) na modalidade EAD (2018). Docente voluntária no Curso de Mestrado (CEFD/UFSM) entre 2019 e 2023. Docente no Curso de Graduação (2009), de Extensão (2009-2010) e de Pós-graduação em Letras (2011-2012) na Universidade Franciscana (UFN). Na Educação Básica em Santa Maria, lecionou entre 1993 e 2004. Desenvolve pesquisas na formação de professores; Estudos Globais; Metodologias; Ensino e aprendizagem; Produção de textos acadêmicos e literários; Literatura Brasileira, Literaturas Afro-Brasileira e Afro-Americana; História da Educação; Artes. Estudou inglês na Aspect School (Toronto) e na International Language Academy of Canada (Toronto); na ILSC/Greystone College, (Vancouver); na Aspect School (Sydney); na Camden College of English (Londres) e na LSI (Brighton). Foi coordenadora dos Estágios Curriculares do Curso de Letras (UFN) e docente orientadora do Subprojeto Letras/UFN do Programa Residência Pedagógica - Edital 24/2022. Atualmente é Professora da Universidade Franciscana (UFN).
