Eduardo Alberto Cuscé Nobre

Associate Professor Level 3 at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo (FAUUSP). Bachelor (1989), PhD (2000) and Habilitation (2018) in Architecture and Urbanism from the University of São Paulo, Master od Arts in Urban Design from Oxford Brookes University, England (1994)(British Council Scholar), Post-Doctor in Urban and Regional Planning by the Institute of Research and Urban and Regional Planning at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (IPPUR / UFRJ) (2016). Visiting Professor od the MSc in Urban Policy and Design at the Dipartamento di Architettura e Studi Urbani (DAStU) from the Politécnico di Milano (POLIMI)(2021). He is currently Chair of the Graduate Commission (2020-) and Urban and Regional Planning professor at FAUUSP, where he supervises undergraduate, master's, doctoral and post-doctoral students. Presidente (2017-2019) and Board Directorar (2013-2015) of the National Association of Graduate Studies and Research in Urban and Regional Planning (ANPUR) where he organised the 2017 National Meeting (XVII ENANPUR) and the 2014 and 2018 Teaching and Research in Urban and Regional Studies Seminars (VII and IX SEPEPUR). ANPUR representative in the Global Planning Education Association Network (GPEAN) from 2017 to 2022, Chair of the Governing Council (2019-2022) and Chair of the World Planning Schools Congress Steering Committee 2022. At São Paulo City Hall, he was Chief of the Technical Section for Revitalization Programs and Deputy Director of the Preservation Division of the Department of Historical Heritage (DPH) (2003-2006); representative of the Secretariat of Culture in the Municipal Council for the Environment and Sustainable Development (CADES) (2004-2006); representative of the Universities in the Technical Chamber of Urban Legislation (CTLU) (2006-2007) and in the Urban Policy Council (CMPU) (2017-2019). He was a member of Institute of Architects of Brazil, Department of São Paulo (IAB-SP) board of directors (2010-2012), where he coordinated the Urban Planning Technical Group. Chair of the Forum of Architecture and Urbanism Graduate Programs. Ad hoc Scientific Advisor to FAPESP (São Paulo Research Foundation) and CNPq (National Council for Scientific and Technological Development) in the Area of ​​Urban and Regional Planning. Member of the Editorial Committee of the Pós FAUUSP journal and reviewer of the journals Cadernos Metrópole, Cities, Land Use Policy and the Brazilian Journal of Urban and Regional Studies (RBEUR), among others. Consultant in the area of ​​Urban and Regional Planning, advising on the elaboration of plans, projects and urban public policies, he is a researcher at NAPPLAC - Support and Research Center: Production and Language of the Built Environment, based at FAUUSP. He works mainly on the following themes: urban and regional planning, urban public policies, urban legislation, the city's production process, large-scale urban development projects and urban design.

Atualmente é Presidente da Comissão de Pós-Graduação (2020- ) e docente do Grupo de Disciplinas de Planejamento Urbano e Regional da FAUUSP, onde orienta alunos de graduação, iniciação científica, mestrado, doutorado e pós-doutorado. Participou da Associação Nacional de Pós-Graduação e Pesquisa em Planejamento Urbano e Regional (ANPUR) como Presidente (2017-2019), Diretor (2013-2015) e Coordenador da Organização do Encontro Nacional de 2017 (XVII ENANPUR) e dos Seminário de Avaliação do Ensino e Pesquisa em Estudos Urbanos e Regionais de 2014 e 2018 (VII e IX SEPEPUR). Na Prefeitura do Município de São Paulo foi Chefe da Seção Técnica de Programas de Revitalização e Diretor-substituto da Divisão de Preservação do Departamento do Patrimônio Histórico (DPH) (2003-2006); representante da Secretaria de Cultura no Conselho Municipal de Meio Ambiente e Desenvolvimento Sustentável (CADES) (2004-2006); representante do Segmento Universidades na Câmara Técnica de Legislação Urbanística (CTLU) (2006-2007) e no Conselho Municipal de Política Urbana (CMPU) (2017-2019). Foi membro da diretoria do Instituto de Arquitetos do Brasil, Departamento de São Paulo (IAB-SP)(2010-2012), onde coordenou o Grupo Técnico de Urbanismo. Presidente do Fórum de Coordenadores dos Programas de Pós-Graduação em Arquitetura e Urbanismo (FOPÓSGAU) (2019-2021). Assessor Científico ad hoc da FAPESP (Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo) e do CNPq (Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico) na Área de Planejamento Urbano e Regional. Foi membro do Comissão Editorial da Revista Pós FAUUSP. É revisor das revistas: Cadernos Metrópole, Cities, Land Use Policy e Revista Brasileira de Estudos Urbanos e Regionais (RBEUR) entre outras. Consultor na área de Planejamento Urbano e Regional, prestando assessoria na elaboração de planos, projetos e políticas públicas urbanas, é pesquisador do NAPPLAC - Núcleo de Apoio e Pesquisa: Produção e Linguagem do Ambiente Construído, sediado na FAUUSP. Atua principalmente nos seguintes temas: planejamento urbano e regional, políticas públicas urbanas, legislação urbanística, processo de produção da cidade, grandes projetos urbanos e desenho urbano.
