Degree in History (2006) from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), Master (2008) and Doctor (2011) in Education from the same University. Training in Psychoanalysis by Escola Brasilera de Psicanálise - EBP (2017). Post-doctorate from the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences of the University of Coimbra - Portugal (2018-2019). Current research interest in seeking to historically and theoretically locate the processes of construction of subjectivities based on the articulation between Lacan and Foucault, as has been undertaken by the French psychoanalyst Jean Allouch who proposes that the current practices of self, including psychoanalysis, would be marked by the inheritance of spirituality exercises that have accompanied the conditions of access to knowledge about the subject himself since antiquity, becoming a central element in his formative trajectory. Such assumptions underlie the current professional activities as a professor in the Department of Sciences of Religions of the Education Center of the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB) and of the Postgraduate Program in History of the Federal University of Campina Grande (UFCG), where he coordinates the sector of Cultural History of Educational Practices. He is also a member of the team of the National Research Program - Education in Projects in Brazil: public space, modernization and Brazilian historical and social thought in the 19th and 20th centuries (CNPQ / 2016-2020). In addition he is acting as a collaborating professor in the university extension activity: Aimée Project - Clinical and Professional Training in Psychoanalytic Care in Institutions (CCHLA/UFPB - 2020).

Os interesses de pesquisa correntes se situam em procurar localizar histórica e teoricamente os processos de construção das subjetividades a partir do referencial conceitual advindo da articulação entre Lacan, Foucault e Pierre Hadot, tal qual tem sido empreendida pelo psicanalista Jean Allouch quando propõe que as atuais práticas de si, incluindo a psicanálise, seriam marcadas pela herança dos exercícios de si realizados pelos filósofos desde a antiguidade como condição para acesso ao saber sobre o próprio sujeito. Tais pressupostos fundamentam as atividades profissionais atuais como professor do Departamento de Ciências das Religiões do Centro de Educação da Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB) e do Programa de Pós-Graduação em História da Universidade Federal de Campina Grande (UFCG), onde foi coordenador da linha III - História Cultural das Práticas Educativas (2021). Recentemente organizou a obra: Experiências formativas não escolares: teoria & história da educação (EDUFCG, 2021). Atuou como professor colaborador na atividade de extensão universitária: Projeto Aimée - Formação Clínica e Profissionalno Atendimento Psicanalítico em Instituições (CCHLA/UFPB - 2019 e 2020).
