Ruy Homem de Mello Maciel

Estudou Administração Pública na EAESP/FGV, Economia na FEA/USP e Música no Instituto de Artes da UNESP (1989). Especializou-se em piano em na Academia de Música de Praga na República Tcheca, entre 1990-1992, estudou Pianoforte em Londres em 1993 e concluiu seu Mestrado em Musicologia pela Musik-Akademie der Stadt Basel, na Suíça em 1995, vivendo lá até 2002, onde desenvolve atividades esporádicas até hoje. Cravista, organista, pianista e regente de ópera, como bolsista da FAPESP concluiu, em 2010, o Doutorado junto à ECA/USP sob orientação do Prof. Dr. Amílcar Zani Neto.

Ruy MACIEL hast studied BA at EAESP/FGV, Economics at S. Paulo State University and Music at Julio de Mesquita Filho S. Paulo State University (1989). In Prague, awarded with a scholarshiop from the local government, between 1990-1992 he concluded an extension in Music with Mr. Klansky, before he went to Switzerland, where he achieved his Master Degree in 1995, again, with a prize from the swiss government. He also studied Pianoforte in London, Basel and Harpsichord, Organ and Conducting at the Musik-Akademie der Stadt Basel and Schola Cantorum Basiliensis. He went back to Brazil in 2002 and now he is Philosophy Doctor at the S. Paulo State University.
