RESEARCH IMPORTANCEContinental and marine aquaculture in Brazil has proved to be an alternative in fishing resources. Directly related to the development of technologies for the intensive cultivation of fish, it is observed that the area of ¿¿ichiopathology and health in aquatic animals aroused great interest from entrepreneurs, feed manufacturers, medicines and equipment and the most varied professionals.In the state of Santa Catarina there is no scientific knowledge, proven in publications of a survey of parasitological fauna of fish. This idea is further reinforced by complementation through some hematological variables and the fact that, even in other states, there is little record of a comparative analysis of this parasitic fauna in animals kept in integrated farming system (with swine). and intensive (feed only) throughout the year. Studies on the histopathological analysis, trace elements and dietary supplementation in cultured fish are also developed.
