Rômulo Farias Carneiro

Graduado em Engenharia de Pesca (2011) pela Universidade Federal do Ceará, Mestre em Bioquímica (2013), Doutor em Biotecnologia de Recursos Naturais (2017) e com pós doutorado (2017-2018) em Biotecnologia Marinha pela mesma instituição. Atualmente é Professor Adjunto do Departamento de Engenharia de Pesca e Coordenador do Programa de Pós Graduação em Engenharia de Pesca da Universidade Federal do Ceará. Professor permanente dos Programas de Pós-graduação em Engenharia de Pesca e Bioquímica, ambos da Universidade Federal do Ceará. É bolsista de produtividade do CNPq (PQ2) desde 2023. Desenvolve pesquisas nas áreas de Bioquímica, Biologia Estrutural e Espectrometria de Massas, com foco na análise estrutural de proteínas isoladas de invertebrados aquáticos e algas, bem como na função fisiológica e aplicações biotecnológicas destas proteínas. Tem experiência em purificação e caracterização estrutural de proteínas.

Graduated in Fishing Engineering (2011) from the Federal University of Ceará, Master in Biochemistry (2013), Doctor in Biotechnology of Natural Resources (2017) and with a postdoctoral degree (2017-2018) in Marine Biotechnology from the same institution. He is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Department of Fisheries Engineering and Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Fisheries Engineering at the Federal University of Ceará. Permanent professor of the Graduate Programs in Fisheries Engineering and Biochemistry, both at the Federal University of Ceará. He has been a CNPq productivity fellow (PQ2) since 2023. He develops research in the areas of Biochemistry, Structural Biology and Mass Spectrometry, focusing on the structural analysis of proteins isolated from aquatic invertebrates and algae, as well as on the physiological function and biotechnological applications of these proteins . He has experience in purification and structural characterization of proteins.
