Karina Denari é Doutora em Direito pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (PPGD/UFRJ) e e Mestre em Direito do Estado pela Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo (FD/USP). É professora membro do Núcleo de Justiça e Constituição da FGV DIREITO SP (FGV NJC), do Grupo de Estudos e Extensão "Acesso à Justiça e Desastres" na FGV DIREITO SP e Associada no Pogust Goodhead, como foco nas temáticas de direito dos desastres e direitos humanos. Foi Pesquisadora Visitante em Kellogg Institute for International Studies - University of Notre Dame com bolsa CAPES - PDSE (2018) Pesquisadora Visitante no Centre on Law and Social Transformation - LawTransform na University of Bergen/CMI com bolsa Capacitação CAPES Print (2023). Foi Professora Substituta na Faculdade Nacional de Direito da UFRJ (2020-2022), atuou entre 2019 e 2022 no Projeto Rio Doce na FGV DIREITO SP e recebeu bolsa para desenvolvimento de estudos sobre igualdade de gênero no judiciário - Oxford/AJUFE Mulheres. É docente de cursos de aperfeiçoamento e extensão e Editora Executiva da Revista de Estudos Institucionais - REI da UFRJ.
Karina is a fully qualified Brazilian lawyer, she holds a PhD in Law from the University of Rio de Janeiro and a master?s degree in Law from the University of São Paulo. She was awarded scholarships for visiting research periods at the Kellogg Institute for International Studies at the University of Notre Dame (2018) and Centre on Law and Social Transformation - LawTransform at the University of Bergen/CMI (2023). She is Senior Associate at Pogust Goodhead. She is a Law Professor member of the Justice and Constitution Centre and the Access to Justice and Disaster Group at FGV São Paulo. Her previous work experience includes senior research and academic coordination positions at the FGV São Paulo Law School - the Human Rights and Business Centre, Temporary Lecturer position in the Law School at the University of Rio de Janeiro. She received a grant to coordinate judicial gender equality studies with Oxford/AJUFE Mulheres. She is Executive Director of Journal of Institutional Studies at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.
