Gizele Ingrid Gadotti

Possui graduação em Engenharia Agrícola pela Universidade Federal de Pelotas (2003), mestrado em Ciência e Tecnologia de Sementes pela Universidade Federal de Pelotas (2006), trabalhou na iniciativa privada e retornou ao doutorado em Ciência e Tecnologia de Sementes pela Universidade Federal de Pelotas (2012) com doutorado sanduíche na Oregon State University. Atualmente é professora associada da Universidade Federal de Pelotas. Esteve em licença maternidade no primeiro semestre do ano de 2014. Em 2018 criou o Laboratório de Agrotecnologia do Centro de Engenharias da Universidade Federal de Pelotas. Foi coordenadora do Mestrado Profissional em Ciência e Tecnologia de Sementes 2018/2020. Foi coordenadora da Câmara de Pesquisa e Inovação do Centro de Engenharias da Universidade Federal de Pelotas 2020/21. É presidente da Associação Brasileira de Engenheiros Agrícolas (ABEAG) ano 2021/23. É vice-presidente da Associação Brasileira de Engenharia Agrícola (SBEA) 2022/23. Em 2022 recebeu o prêmio Diversity da ASHRAE Brasil pelo seu trabalho sobre igualdade na engenharia. É Editora Chefe Adjunta da Revista Engenharia Agrícola. Tem trabalhado nas áreas das Ciências Agrárias e Ambientais.

She holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the Federal University of Pelotas (2003), a master's degree (2006), worked in the private sector, and returned to her Ph.D. in Seed Science and Technology from the Federal University of Pelotas (2012) with a sandwich doctorate from Oregon State University. She is currently an associate professor at the Federal University of Pelotas. She was on maternity leave in the first half of 2014. In 2018, she created the Agrotechnology Laboratory of the Engineering Center of the Federal University of Pelotas. She was the coordinator of the Professional Master's in Seed Science and Technology 2018/2020. In addition, she was the coordinator of the Research and Innovation Chamber of the Engineering Center of the Federal University of Pelotas 2020/21. She is president of the Brazilian Association of Agricultural Engineers (ABEAG) year 2021/23. She is vice president of the Brazilian Association of Agricultural Engineering (SBEA) 2022/23. In 2022, she was awarded by ASHRAE Brazil Chapter because of her work with equality in the engineering sector. It is adjunct chief editor of Engenharia Agricola Journal. She has worked in the areas of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences.
