Nelson De Luca Pretto

Licenciado em Física (UFBA, 1977), Mestre em Educação (UFBA, 1984) e Doutor em Comunicação (USP, 1994). Professor Titular (e ativista) da Faculdade de Educação da UFBA, bolsista do CNPq. É Membro titular da Academia de Ciências da Bahia. Foi Conselheiro da SBPC (2015/2019), Secretário Regional na Bahia da SBPC (2011/2015). Foi titular do Conselho Estadual de Cultura do Estado da Bahia (2007/2011), assessor do Reitor da UFBA (1995/1996) e Diretor da Faculdade de Educação/UFBA por dois mandatos (2000/2008). GRATO.] Esteve na Universidade de Barcelona/LMI como pesquisador visitante (posdoc - 2020-2022). Esteve (posdoc) as Universidade Trent de Nottingham/Inglaterra (2008/2009) e na Universidade de Londres/Goldsmiths College (1998/1999), todos com apoio da CAPES. Membro do conselho editorial e consultor ad hoc de diversas revistas acadêmicas. Foi editor da "Revista entreideias: educação, cultura e sociedade" (antiga Revista da Faced). Tem experiência na área de Educação, com ênfase em Educação e Comunicação, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: internet, educação e cibercultura, informática educativa, tecnologia educacional, software livre, acesso aberto e educação a distância. É o responsável pela concepção do projeto de inclusão sociodigital denominado "Tabuleiros Digitais" [http://www.tabuleirosdigitais.org] desenvolvido pela Faculdade de Educação da UFBA. Possui diversos livros, capítulos e artigos publicados sobre essas temas. Líder do Grupo de pesquisa Educação, Comunicação e Tecnologias e integra os grupos de pesquisa "Laboratório Interdisciplinar sobre informação e Conhecimento" (UFRJ) e "Ábaco" (UnB).

PhD in Communication from the University of Sao Paolo/School of Communication and Arts (1994), BSc in Physics (1977) and Master's in Education (1985), both from UFBA.
