Lucas Henrique Figueiredo Prates

Master in Agricultural Engineering by the Graduate Program in Agricultural Engineering of the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering at UFV (2016). Currently is scientific researcher on the Departament of Insect Biotechnology in Plant Protection at Justus-Liebig-University Giessen (Alemanha). He participated in the program Science without Borders in international mobility for the University of Aveiro (Portugal) as a student of the Integrated Masters in Chemical Engineering. He worked as a level I monitor in chemistry at the UFV in the Cursinho Popular DCE / UFV. The main work topics include quality and food safety, storage of agricultural products, new technologies in the post-harvest treatment of agricultural products, new methods to control insects, with emphasis on ozone and essential oils, physical-chemical evaluation of agricultural products, and unit operations.

Mestre em Engenharia Agrícola pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Engenharia Agrícola da Universidade Federal de Viçosa (UFV), possui graduação em Engenharia Química pela UFV (2016). Atualmente é pesquisador do Departamento de Insect Biotechnology in Plant Protection na Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen (Alemanha). Participou do programa Ciência sem Fronteiras em mobilidade internacional para a Universidade de Aveiro (Portugal) como discente do Mestrado Integrado em Engenharia Química. Atuou como monitor nivel I em química da UFV no Cursinho Popular DCE/UFV. Atua principalmente nos seguintes temas: qualidade e segurança de alimentos, armazenamento de produtos agrícolas, novas tecnologias no tratamento pós-colheita de produtos agrícolas, novos métodos de controle de insetos, com destaque para o ozônio e óleos essenciais, avaliação físico-química de produtos agrícolas, e operações unitárias.
