Pedro Augusto Domingues Miranda Brandão

Doutor em Direito pela Universidade de Brasília (UnB), com realização de estágio Doutoral no Centro de Estudos Sociais (CES) da Universidade de Coimbra (Portugal). Mestre em Direito pela Faculdade de Direito do Recife da Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE). É autor dos livros "O Novo Constitucionalismo Pluralista Latino-Americano" (Editora Lumen Juris, 2015) e "Colonialidade do Poder e Direito: Raça, Classe, Capitalismo e Biodiversidade na construção da legalidade" (no prelo). É advogado na área de Direitos Humanos e Direito Constitucional. Atualmente, é coordenador político e jurídico da liderança do Partido Socialismo e Liberdade (PSOL) na Câmara dos Deputados e membro da Executiva Nacional da Associação Brasileira de Juristas pela Democracia (ABJD).

He is a researcher in the area of ​​Law, Epistemologies of the South and Coloniality of Power. His current research focus is new ways of reflecting on the Law and decoloniality. He is active lawyer in the areas of Constitutional Law and Human Rights. He is currently the coordinator of the leadership team of the Socialism and Freedom Party (PSOL) in the Chamber of Deputies.
