Atualmente é professora adjunta do Departamento de Estudos Aplicados ao Ensino-DEAE, área educação matemática- UERJ-Maracanã, das disciplinas educação matemática para crianças, jovens e adultos I e II, e do PROPED- Programa de Pós - Graduação em Educação-Instituições, Práticas Educativas e História-UERJ. Pesquisadora do NEPHE-Núcleo de ensino e pesquisa em história da educação-UERJ e do GHEMAT- Grupo de Pesquisa de História da Educação Matemática no Brasil. Coordenadora do GHEMAT-RIO. Possui graduação em Licenciatura Plena Matemática pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro (1981), graduação em Pedagogia pela Universidade Bandeirante de São Paulo (2002), mestrado em Educação Matemática pela Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (2007) e doutorado em Educação pela Universidade de São Paulo (2012). Tem experiência na área de educação, com ênfase na educação matemática, formação de professores e História da educação matemática. Na pesquisa, junto ao GHEMAT e NEPHE, investiga principalmente os seguintes temas: história da educação, história da educação matemática, formação de professores, saberes profissionais dos professores que ensinam matemática.
She is currently an adjunct professor in the Department of Studies Applied to Teaching-DEAE, mathematics education area- UERJ-Maracanã, in the subjects mathematics education for children, youth and adults I and II, and PROPED- Postgraduate Program in Education-Institutions, Educational Practices and History-UERJ. Researcher at NEPHE-Center for Teaching and Research in History of Education-UERJ and GHEMAT- Research Group on the History of Mathematics Education in Brazil. Coordinator of GHEMAT-RIO. Graduated in Full Mathematics Degree from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1981), Graduated in Pedagogy from the Bandeirante University of São Paulo (2002), Master in Mathematics Education from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (2007) and PhD in Education from the University of São Paulo (2012). He has experience in the area of education, with an emphasis on mathematical education, teacher training and History of mathematical education. In research, together with GHEMAT and NEPHE, he investigates mainly the following themes: history of education, history of mathematical education, teacher training, professional knowledge of teachers who teach mathematics.
