Bernardo Grassi Dias

Bernardo is a Curitiba based composer and Assistant Professor at the Department of Popular Music in the State University of Paraná, Brazil. His main interests are the study and development of creative processes in music composition and music production, specially for scene and multimedia. For this purpose, he's been researching psychology of music and just assembled a group to take actions in issues concerning music production and composition for multimedia. Besides sampling virtual instruments and studying mockups, the group is performing alongside a theatre group, exploring interactions between them, through the use of free and goal oriented improvisation.Bernardo Grassi composes for film, scene and multimedia. Recent credits are the short documentary ?Lulu a Louca? (2014), ?Jonni Driver? (2013) ? links at the end ? and ?A Felicidade Mora Aqui?, screened in local theatres and Brazilian festivals. Other works include compositions for small ensembles, songwriting and music production in small projects. He studied and performed folk music and classical guitar for many years, but consider himself a self-educated composer as he had received very little specific formal training

Possui graduação em Superior de Instrumento pela Escola de Música e Belas Artes do Paraná (2000) e mestrado em Música pela Universidade Federal do Paraná (2008). Atualmente é professor assistente da Faculdade de Artes do Paraná. Tem experiência na área de Artes, com ênfase em Educação Musical, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: composição, composição musical, criatividade, performance e resolução de problemas.
