Glauco Augusto de Paula Caurin

Engenheiro Mecânico com ênfase em Mecânica Fina pela EESC - USP (1988). Possui um Nachdiplomstudium in Mechatronik (1990) e doutorado pelo Institut für Robotik - Eidgenössische Technische Hochschule - ETH - Zurique Suíça (1994). Entre 2010 e 2011 realizou um período sabático no Newman Laboratory for Biomechanics and Human Rehabilitation - Department of Mechanical Engineering do Massachusetts Institute of Technology - MIT - EUA. Professor do Depart. de Eng. Mecânica da EESC - USP entre 2002 a 2017. Atualmente é Professor Titular do Departamento de Engenharia Aeronáutica da EESC - USP. Atua com sistemas mecatrônicos autônomos, inteligência de máquina, sistemas embarcados de tempo real, automação e robótica aplicada à áreas críticas como reabilitação, cirurgia e produção de aeronaves.

Graduate in Mechanical Engineering at the University of São Paulo, Brazil (1988) and received a doctor title from the Eidgenossische Technische Hochschule - ETH Zurich Switzerland (1994). Works with Autonomous Systems, Machine Inteligence, Mechatronic design, Mobile Manipulation, Embedded RTOS, Surgery and Rehabilitation Robotics, Robotics and Automation applied to Aeronautics. Between 2010-2011 joined the Eric P. and Evelyn E. Newman Laboratory for Biomechanics and Human Rehabilitation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology - MIT - USA for a sabbatical period. Currently works as a Full Professor at the Department of Aeronautics Engineering - EESC- University of São Paulo, Brazil.
