Mariana Ruiz Nascimento

Mariana Ruiz Nascimento is a graduate student in the Graduate Program in Linguistic Studies (PPGEL) at the Federal University of Uberlândia (UFU), in Brazil. She holds a degree in English Language Teaching and English Literature and she's a specialist in Portuguese as a Foreign Language from the same university. Mariana is also a member of the research group named "Laboratório de Estudos Polifônicos" and a member of the Association of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages (BRAZ-TESOL). She has worked as an English teacher in the program Languages without Borders (Idiomas sem Fronteiras, in Portuguese) and in the Institutional Program of Scholarship for the Introduction to Teaching (PIBID, in Portuguese). She has experience and interest in Applied Linguistics, Discourse Analysis, ELT, Teacher Training and Materials Writing.

Mariana Ruiz Nascimento é doutoranda do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Estudos Linguísticos (PPGEL) da Universidade Federal de Uberlândia (UFU), Mestre em Estudos Linguísticos, graduada em Letras - Habilitação em Inglês e Literaturas de Língua Inglesa e possui especialização em Português como Língua Estrangeira e Cultura Brasileira pela mesma universidade. Atuou como Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) do Programa Fulbright na University of Iowa, nos Estados Unidos, como professora de português. Tem experiência e interesse na área de Linguística Aplicada, Política Linguística, Análise do Discurso, Ensino de Línguas Estrangeiras, Formação de Professores e Desenvolvimento e Análise de Material Didático.
