Érica Cristina Rocha Gorga

Doutora em Direito Comercial pela Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo (2005) e bacharel em Direito pela Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo (1999). Pesquisadora CAPES em Pós-doutoramento na Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de São Paulo (em curso) e Pós-doutoramento concluído na University of Texas School of Law (Spring 2006). Foi docente da graduação e do programa de pós-graduação em Direito da Escola de Direito de São Paulo da Fundação Getulio Vargas (Direito GV), onde lecionou cursos sobre Mercado de Capitais, Títulos de Crédito, Fusões e Aquisições Internacionais e Governança Corporativa Comparada (2006-2015). Foi Associate Research Scholar in Law and The John R. Raben/Sullivan & Cromwell Executive Director for the Yale Law School Center for the Study of Corporate Law, na Yale Law School (2013-2015). Foi Visiting Professor e lecionou na Vanderbilt Law School (Fall 2012).Foi Visiting Professor e lecionou na Cornell Law School (Fall 2007 e Fall 2008). Foi Visiting Scholar na Vanderbilt Law School (Out. 2010). Foi Lecturer e lecionou na University of Texas School of Law (Spring 2006). Foi Visiting Scholar na Stanford Law School (Fall 2002-Spring 2003). Apresentou trabalhos e proferiu palestras em diversas universidades internacionais, incluindo Harvard Law School, Columbia Law School, Stanford Law School, Cornell Law School, Vanderbilt Law School, entre outras. Advogada em São Paulo. É autora de artigos publicados no Brasil e no exterior. Sua área de atuação abrange Direito Comercial/Empresarial, com ênfase em Direito e Economia, desenvolvendo pesquisas principalmente nas seguintes áreas: mercado de capitais, direito societário, governança corporativa, compliance e fusões e aquisições.

Érica Gorga is currently Associate Research Scholar in Law and The John R. Raben/Sullivan & Cromwell Executive Director for the Yale Law School Center for the Study of Corporate Law, at Yale Law School. She conducted Post-Doctoral research at the University of Texas School of Law at Austin (2006). She received her Ph.D. in Commercial Law from the University of Sao Paulo (2005). She graduated from the University of Sao Paulo Law School in 1999. She is currently a Professor of Law at Fundacao Getulio Vargas Law School at Sao Paulo (DIREITO GV). She was a Visiting Professor of Law at Vanderbilt Law School (Fall, 2012). She was a Visiting Scholar at Vanderbilt Law School (Fall, 2010). She was a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law at Cornell Law School (Fall 2007, Fall 2008). She was a Lecturer and a Post-Doc Research Fellow at the University of Texas Law School Center for Law and Economics (Spring 2006). She was a Olin Research Fellow and a Visiting Scholar at Stanford Law School (Fall 2002, Spring 2003). She is a lawyer at Sao Paulo.
