Psicóloga, Licenciada em Psicologia na PUC-RJ (1981), Especialista (1981) e Mestre em Educação na área de concentração Educação de Superdotados na UERJ (1987), e Doutora em Educação, pelo PPG em Educação: História, Política, Sociedade, na PUC-SP (2001); Professora Aposentada da Faculdade de Educação e Docente em cursos de Pós-Graduação stricto-sensu, mestrado e doutorado, nas áreas da Diversidade, Ciências, Tecnologia, Biotecnologia, Biociências, Saúde e Inclusão na Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) e no Instituto Oswaldo Cruz. Criadora do Programa de Atendimento a Alunos com Altas Habilidades/Superdotação (PAAAH/SD-UFF). Bolsista Produtividade em Pesquisa Nível 2 do CNPq de 2016 a 2023; Líder do Grupo de Pesquisa Talento e Capacidade Humana na Sociedade e na Educação, vinculado ao CNPq; Presidente Eleita do Conselho Brasileiro para Superdotação (ConBraSD) no biênio 2011-2012 e 2023-2024. Recebeu o Prêmio Jabuti 2015, na categoria Educação e Pedagogia; Medalha do Mérito Carioca como Personalidade Educacional 2019, oferecida pelo Conselho Municipal de Educação, Secretaria Municipal de Educação da Prefeitura da Cidade do Rio de Janeiro. Psychologist and BA in Psychology from the Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (1981), Specialist and Master in Education in the field of Gifted Education concentration from the State University of Rio de Janeiro (1987) and PhD in Education at Study Program Postgraduate education: History, Politics, Society, the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo (2001). He is currently Associate Professor III, Faculty of Education, the Federal Fluminense University (UFF). It teaches in different degree courses, full graduation and post-graduation courses and stricto sensu. He participated in the preparation and is Coordinator of the Graduate Program in Diversity and Inclusion - Professional Mode (CMPDI), created by CAPES in 2013, the 46-area school. Is Permanent Member in the Graduate Program Sciences and Biotechnology, Institute of Biology of the UFF, and collaborator in Bioscience Education and Health Program (IOC-EBS / FIOCRUZ), and the Postgraduate Diploma in Music Program (UNIRIO). He created and coordinates the course of broad-sensu graduate Special and Inclusive Education, Faculty of Education. It is a leader of the Research Group Talent and Human Capacity in Society and Education, linked to the Research Groups Directory of the CNPq in Brazil. Coordinates outreach activities in the Programme of Assistance to Students with High Skills / Giftedness (PAAAH / SD), the School of Inclusion, which is supported by CAPES (New Talents and PIBID) at PROEXT / MEC and the FAPERJ. He has experience in education, with an emphasis on special education, working in: special education, inclusive education, high skills, giftedness, accessible teaching materials, inclusion and continuous training of teachers.
